Leonard Bernstein's birthday.

August 25, 2024.
"Nothing in the world is so reassuring as super talent in man - he, alone, gives confidence that the existence of the world makes sense."- Bette Davis on Leonard Bernstein.
Happy Birthday, Maestro Bernstein.
This year together with Alex Sino, Zhangjiajie Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Taras Kutsenko, we encourage you to listen to our new album from The romantic symphonies of Gounod and Bizet, edited by Leonard Bernstein.
The music of great composers brought together under the editorship of the talented Leonard Bernstein.
In the history of the conductor's ideas of a musical performance, there are many examples of interpretations of famous classical works. Certainly, some of the contradictory and mutually exclusive phenomena peacefully neighboring each other in the practical activity of a conductor cannot easily fit within the framework of certain dogmas, rules, or laws. However, some conductors have passed into the essence of a work using certain methods that can be compared to the work with palestras of sounds to find and achieve a new sound. Among these conductors, was Leonard Bernstein. The Maestro's conducting interpretation and revision of well-known music gives the listener new sensations and impressions.
Crossover music involves blending different musical genres to create a unique sound. When it comes to Romantic symphonies, this could mean incorporating elements of jazz, rock, electronic music, or even pop. Producing crossover recordings of Romantic symphonies is not a simple task and has certain challenges mainly maintaining artistic integrity and authenticity. One very important issue is the popularity and audience reception of crossover albums. The producer of the new crossover series of recordings, the Latin Grammy Award Winner Alex Sino, based on the recent Kutsenko recording of the New Edition of Leonard Bernstein’s Romantic Symphonies that was submitted for Grammy consideration, believes in the quality, success, and popularity of that project.
Next recordings of Taras Kutsenko and Zhangjiajie Philharmonic Orchestra will include the music of Puccini’s Turandot, Astor Piazzolla Tango, and Becker Salamanca.
These recordings will be produced and released by Terry Heimat Studios in cooperation with Pier 5.
