ABOUT US
The orchestra began its existence in 2018 as a lineup of musicians invited by China to organize the first philharmonic orchestra in Chinese cities with second-tier status. Until then, professional symphony orchestras had been subsidized from the state budget only in provincial capitals. In 2019, through the efforts of the rector of Zhangjiajie University, Mr. Zhang Debin, the Zhangjiajie Philharmonic Orchestra was established with financial support from the Municipality of the city.
Between 2018 and 2019, the orchestra's concerts were seen by more than 180,000 audiences.

Terry is a graduate of the most prestigious and elite universities and conservatories of music including the Moscow School of Musical Performance and Composition (Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory), the Leningrad (Sankt Petersburg) School of Conducting, the New York Film Academy, and the California Berkeley School of Sound Engineering.
Terry Heimat is a member of the Artists' International Association, and is the recipient of the Order of the "World Cultural Diplomacy".
Maestro Kutsenko is a Professor at Zhangjiajie University, Hunan, China. - Luo YongDirector of orchestra, conductorHe is a graduate of Gishaw University. He is a professor at Zhangjiajie University.

PRESTIGE AND CAREER
The Zhangjiajie Philharmonic Orchestra, together with renowned guitarist Francis Goya, performed a crossover version of Ludwig van Beethoven's Ode to Joy. This project has won a number of prestigious international awards. In 2021 the orchestra took part in the international Magic Song project together with world-class musicians: Leonid Agutin, Angelika Varum, Al Di Meola, Ed Caillé, Amairi Gutiérrez and others.
Musicians of the Zhangjiajie Philharmonic Orchestra received a prestigious music award.
The project "Magic Song" by composer Taras Kutsenko received worldwide recognition and great interest from the audience. The main idea of the project is that good will miraculously triumph, you have to believe in it. The producer of the project is the scriptwriter and music producer Alex Sino.

ZHANGJIAJIE IS PARADISE
Our orchestra is based in the picturesque area of Zhangjiajie on the campus of the University and is part of the community of this institution. The concert hall for performances and all the infrastructure are in one place, near the picturesque sites of the famous Tianmen Mountain.
Rumor has it that the beauty and grandeur of the Zhangjiajie Mountains was inspired by director James Cameron in the making of the famous movie Avatar. The Zhangjiajie Mountains are a prototype of the planet Pandora.

The orchestra participates in university events and works with soloists from the Academy of Arts at Zhangjiajie University.

On June 7, 2019, ZPO performed at the highest point of Hunan Province - Mount Tianmen.

The Zhangjiajie Philharmonic Orchestra is releasing a new music video on the theme of Ode to Joy by famous composer L. W. Beethoven.
This time, the world celebrities took part in the creation of the video: the outstanding Belgian guitarist and composer Francis Goya along with his musical partner from Monaco, Bernard Wrinq. In the recording of the video were also involed : Ruslan Zinevych (soloist of many European opera houses ,tenor), saxophonist Ivan Levchenko and professor of the Chinese University Luo Yong, who added the Chinese flavor playing solo on an Erhu musical instrument.
